Memorable Trip To Universal Studios Hollywood!

Our visit to “The Entertainment Capital of LA” the Universal Studios, Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California, USA, is refreshed with this entire buzz about the Oscar Awards tomorrow. It was a most unforgettable trip for the four of us, to one of the oldest and most famous movie studios. The adjacent Universal CityWalk entertainment and retail district was also an exciting memory. I am sharing a selection of a few pictures from that visit here.

Who has not been captivated by the magic of a Hollywood movie? This bewitching trip took us on a tour of the world of make believe, which has been made so believable, by these magnificent dream merchants. The various fascinating characters from the movies walking around and mingling with the crowds added to the enchantment. All in all an unforgettable day we all enjoyed very much. Looking forward to a return trip, sometime when the kids get bigger. This mind-blowing trip of ours to the magnificent Universal City, has only served to further cement our deep connect and love for “The Grand Magical World of Hollywood”.

Leo, The Friendly Obedient Playful Lhasa Apso.

We all, especially my 3 year old younger son, were fortunate to spend some very memorable moments with my sister's pet Lhasa Apso named Leo, while on holiday in Bangalore. This friendly Tibetan guard dog has amazingly acclimatised itself to the Bangalore climate. Leo was very energetic, intelligent, devoted, obedient, patient and docile. One could have only dreamt of such an easy, undemanding and friendly dog. If ever we should decide on a pet, in the future, once the children are bigger, thanks to Leo it would certainly be a Lhasa Apso. I loved to cuddle him and it helped that he had a silky, dense, woolly coat of fur, he was very emotive and expressed his joy by nuzzling against my chest. I am selecting a few pictures we have of this wonderful pet - Leo!

Sunset Pictures From Payyambalam Beach, Kannur

I am reminded of John Ruskin's famous quote on sunsets - "At Sunset...Nature is painting for us...day after day...pictures of infinite beauty".
I have clicked some memorable sunsets at the Payyambalam Beach. I am presenting a few for you to savour. I have no words to express the divine bliss I feel when I witness beautiful sunsets. It could not have been summed up any better than this anonymous saying "The Sunrise is God's greeting - and Sunset His signature".

Cubbon Park, Bengaluru - A Restful Wilderness to Wind-Down the Restless Urban Soul!

Some random photographs from our last visit to the most beautiful, placidly impassive, green arboreous lung of Bangalore -The Cubbon Park, one of the pristine gardens, located right in the heart of this famous Garden City. The kids love it, especially the Toy Train ride. The park is still very verdant, thickly-wooded and well-maintained. A great sylvan neighbourhood to spend some good leisurely family time. The inviting green, grassy lawns coaxes you onto its luxurious carpet, with open arms to just carelessly sprawl across it, staring at the overhanging live canopy of leaves and branches of some very old shady trees, to get lost in one's thoughts. One of the accompanying adults, at the same time must keep a vigilant eye on the prancing children joyously indulging themselves on the swings, slides & see-saws, et all that are thoughtfully provided intermittently in this huge park. You laze around, sedating your soul, listening to the warbling twitter and chirping of birds, whilst eating some boiled corn, munching on some peanuts, only occasionally interrupted by the clickety-clack of the toy train. Even the perpetual cacophony of the honking horns and the humming mechanical din of the streaking traffic all around the busy roads bordering this park, which normally would have distrubed you, sounds like music to the ears, aiding in soothing your mind, while you are relaxing in this serene setting. The tranquil atmosphere all around you, has a curiously invasive and conquering property, which subjugates your mind with peace. Stress abandons the body here and hastily vanishes into the thick undergrowth. This park is definitely a welcome destination to unwind and calm one's soul. I feel everyone can do with atleast a fleeting dose of Cubbon Park, once in a while. If nothing the 'lucky' Bangaloreans must make it a point to just drive through here; even that cursory passing, would help settle some frayed, urban nerves.

Glimpses Of A Bustling Sunday Flea Market, Bangalore

A photogrid composed with an assortment of  snaps, taken at a Sunday flea market at the Fame Forum Value Mall, Whitefield, Bangalore. I just loved the colours of all things beautiful that was on display there. One could literally shop from 'pin to peacock' at this amazing weekly market. The energy one experienced inside that hall filled with people, was phenomenal. One has to be at the venue to feel that special buzz in the bustle. I would describe it in my unique labyrinthian way; as a joyous adventure of mirthful celebration by a bouyant multitude mingling with guiltless abandon in the happy holiday spirit of the proverbial Biblical Sabbath. My God! I actually went beserk in that description; but then it still only remotely conveys what I felt there. LOL! It is definitely worth making it, if you can, on one of these coming Sundays; my word it would be an unforgettable occasion. It will be a.memory one would treasure for a very long time and proudly share like I am doing here. A beautiful experience indeed, glimpses of which I am so happily sharing here on this post. Enjoy!
